Interactive learning of linguistics and literature
A Pedagogical Project by Graciela Villanueva.
The interactive platform that transforms the learning of discourse analysis, linguistics, literary analysis, and the history of literature through videos, case studies, and interactive exercises.
What is Interletral?
Interletral is an interactive website (and a smartphone app) for teaching linguistics and discourse analysis (Part I), literary analysis (Part II), and the history of literature (Part III). Videos (based on animated slideshows with voice-over) present the fundamental concepts covered in each chapter. Interactive exercises help reinforce the concepts introduced in the videos. A case study at the end of each chapter proposes an application of the concepts studied in the chapter to a literary text.
Interletral is available in French, English, and Spanish.
How does it work?
Each Interletral chapter includes several videos, several exercises, and a case study at the end. Each video corresponds to a sub-chapter. The page for a chapter contains several videos. The three digits in the numbering of the videos and exercises indicate the book / chapter / sub-chapter (1.3.2 means, for example, that it is the first Interletral book, the third chapter of that book, and the second sub-chapter of that chapter).
As case studies sometimes apply concepts from several sub-chapters, their numbering uses only two digits (indicating the book and chapter where the concepts are introduced).
Key concepts
The key concepts of linguistics, discourse analysis, literary theory and history are presented through videos.
Exercises
Interactive exercises and their answers help reinforce the concepts presented in the videos.
Case studies
A case study at the end of each chapter reviews the concepts presented in one or more videos and applies them to a literary text.
